Two 14-year-old teenagers died in Ireland when their car went off the road and crashed into a tree. A 13-year-old friend was driving the car, and he was taken to the hospital along with another 14-year-old passenger. While the driver was slightly injured in the accident, the other person is in serious condition.
The tragedy occurred over the Easter weekend near Headford in County Galway. The two young victims, Kirsty Bohan and Lukas Joyce, and the other two children involved, were friends and schoolmates at Presentation College Headford. The school said in a statement that they had lost “two valuable members” of their community. “We pray for all the families and friends of those affected by the attack that they find some peace and comfort at this tragic time.” “We also pray for our school community that we can find the strength to support each other and move forward. As the school community, we ask for your support, prayers and space to mourn.”
