Speaking to EL HERALDO, the parent talked about the moments of anxiety she experienced with her little girl: “I had to cook and clean. He had music on. I was focused do the tradeI never thought something like this would happen.”
According to the woman, there was a yellow bucket with water and a mop in the living room and she had let the girls play while she continued with the household.
After a while the older girl, 3 years old, told her “mom look at the babyShe, completely innocently, thought the little girl was doing something else, whereupon I turned around, the girl was upside down in the pot and didn’t move, said Araujo.
At that point, according to the parent’s account, she ran to get it out of the bucket:I screamed, jumpedmy partner got out of bed, lifted her up and put her on the floor to give her first aid.”
