Police confirmed that a body was found during the search for the missing woman. Ausra Plungien, 56, was reported missing after walking her dog in the Eriri area on Tuesday, April 11th. Although the body has yet to be officially identified, Ms. Plungien was informed.

Earlier today (April 13), members of the mountain rescue team discovered the body of a woman near Yr Arig in the Carneddau range. Police and their Mountain Rescue Service colleagues launched a massive search after an experienced climber hiking from Prestatyn was reported missing.

North Wales Police Superintendent Owain Llewelyn said: “Our thoughts are with the Ausra family at this difficult time. I can confirm that a live dog was found at this location. I would like to thank everyone who participated in the search for Ausra in extremely difficult weather conditions. Lastly, I would like to ask Ausra’s family to provide some privacy in the coming days.”
