A terrifying tale of cannibalism comes from Egypt. A mother killed her son and ate his body parts after cooking him. The gruesome crime in the local media has rocked the Nile Delta province of Sharqiya.
According to the investigators’ reconstructions, the five-year-old boy was strangled by his mother; the second attacked him with machetes and then cooked and ate part of his head. The 29-year-old woman was arrested by the police upon the complaint of her uncle, who found the body parts of the young victim in the trash cans in the family home in Abu Shalabi village. The mother believed that by eating her child’s body parts, the baby would return to her womb.
The mentally ill woman also said she had no intention of killing her son. The woman, who remained unresponsive during interrogation, explains that her intention was to take revenge on her ex-wife: “I wanted to take revenge on her father and be free. everything is far from me.” . She separated from her 29-year-old husband 3 years ago and lives alone with her son.
