The Atlantic Section of the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation reported Thursday, May 18, on the security measure in a prison imposed by a judge of Guarantee Control on Eder Nivaldo Padilla Herrera, just 22 years old and known by the alias ‘El Muñeco ‘, for his alleged participation in the double murder of two women in Soledad, in events that took place in July of the previous year.
Padilla Herrera was wanted on charges of aggravated murder and illegal possession of firearms and was captured after an operation carried out by members of the Sijín. During preliminary hearings, he did not accept the prosecution’s charges.
As for the fact for which the individual was prosecuted, it happened on Saturday, July 16, 2022, the day of the Virgen del Carmen.
Apparently, “El Muñeco” was traveling on a motorcycle in the company of an accomplice and allegedly repeatedly shot Tatiana Varela Sandoval, 40, and Madgredis Charris Torrijos, 19, as they drank liquor in a house between the Normandy and Villa Soledad neighborhoods.
With regard to this fact, the Metropolitan Police indicated at the time that it was related to the sale of hallucinogenic drugs, in that the residence where the double crime had been committed had previously been raided for this crime.
