Russia said today it will continue the “special military operation” launched on February 24 in Ukraine “until its goals are achieved”.

“The most important thing for us is to protect the Russian Federation from the military threat from the West, which the Ukrainian people will use in the fight against our country,” said Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

Shoigu said Russia will continue to intervene in Ukraine and achieve the stated goals of disarming and de-nazification of Ukraine “as well as protecting the Donbas people”.
