Jonathan Hogg, 37, in Manchester, England, died in hospital after being attacked by his dog. He was bitten in the throat by a 37-year-old pitbull and died after arriving at the hospital: Two children from Hogg, a two-year-old girl and a 4-month-old boy survived.
The tragedy occurred last Thursday when police found the man in a pool of blood on Westleigh Lane. The 37-year-old who was rescued and hospitalized died at dawn on Friday. The Hogg family released a statement on the Greater Manchester Police website: “Jonathan was a much loved, sensitive and kind person who would never know how much he was loved and appreciated by everyone who knew him.” Jonathan’s brother, Ian, instead expressed his grief in a Facebook post: “My heart is broken. I can’t believe I’m writing this”:
Two people have been arrested in connection with the 37-year-old’s death: the two owners of the dog farm where Jonathan Hogg bought the animal. Police forces also confiscated 15 potentially dangerous specimens, nine puppies and six adult dogs, such as those who attacked the man in Manchester and were subsequently shot by agents. The police tried to calm the animal down, but after fatally attacking its owner, the dog became uncontrollable and forced the police to kill it to prevent it from harming someone else.
