Police in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu state, India, arrested a 28-year-old woman accused of killing her mother-in-law, with whom she had a conflict. According to the reconstructors, the 28-year-old must have entered the victim’s home at night wearing the sweatpants of her husband (i.e. the victim’s son) and hiding her face behind a motorcycle helmet. He would then attack the 58-year-old woman, hitting her with a blunt object until she was dead on the ground. Eventually she would snatch the jewels from him and run away. The victim was found dying by her husband, who returned home at around five in the morning. The 58-year-old injured was taken to the hospital, but could not catch up. The wounds inflicted on him were very serious.
Immediately after the events, the neighbors and the same bride rushed to the scene, pretending to be unaware of what had happened a few hours earlier. Not just. According to Tamil Nadu police, the woman also tried to deflect the investigation by claiming that she was attacked by some robbers who wanted to steal her mother-in-law’s gold necklace. It didn’t take long for the detectives to close the case. Collecting statements from the neighbors, they discovered that the relationship between the two women was more strained than ever before. The mother-in-law and the bride were often seen arguing, and there had been a serious argument just ten days before the murder. It is seen that the causes of the disputes are mostly of an economic nature and are related to property issues. According to the information obtained by the police, the identity of the woman who remained in handcuffs was realized thanks to the images recorded by the closed circuit cameras.
