Tara Reade, the woman who accused Joe Biden of sexual assault in 2020, has been talked about again. The woman, who applied for Russian citizenship, reappeared in Moscow during a propaganda press conference. Reade worked with Biden in 1992 when he was a senator from Delaware. In 2019, years after the alleged episodes, the woman accused the current president of the United States of “abuse of power, but not sexual harassment”, as she reported in an interview. The accusations made against Biden were very serious, Tara Reade declared that “he never tried to kiss her or touch her in certain ways”, but caressed her neck and hair inappropriately.
It must be said that Biden apologized for these ambiguous behaviors towards the woman. After a year of the statements, in 2020, Reade added new details to the story, making even more serious accusations against the potus: “Biden kissed me, and put his hands on my skirt, she raped me”. After these very heavy statements, repeatedly denied by Biden, Tara Reade decided to “take refuge” in Russia fearing for her life. “I didn’t want to go to jail or get killed, it was a tough decision. I feel at home in Russia,” the 59-year-old told the Sputnik news agency.
He had also thought about testifying in the Chamber against the president and his family, but ended up giving up: “I saw the pressure they put on them not to testify, I understood that, although the elections are close and there is a lot at stake, it is better for me to stay here , sure. My dream is to live in both places, but maybe I just live here and that’s okay.” In addition, a member of the Republican party “told me that my life was in danger,” says the woman.
At the last press conference held in Moscow, Tara Reade spoke out against the US position on the Russian-Ukrainian conflict: “while ordinary American citizens suffer. To my Russian brothers and sisters, I am sorry that Americans have taken an aggressive stance at this time.” From the Kremlin it appears that they are using the woman’s statements as an opportunity to embarrass the United States of America and President Joe Biden. Indeed, recently there was an attempt by the Russian delegation to the UN, which tried to summon her to testify at the Security Council on suspected arms trafficking in Ukraine, her participation was rejected as “not relevant and appropriate”.
