Video captured by a Lowndes County Sheriff’s police officer’s body camera captured an incredible event that brings to mind the incredible moves of a groundbreaking TV show.
Like the heroic “General Lee” of Dukes of Hazzard, a car literally took off using the back of a tow truck as an involuntary springboard. The incident occurred on State Highway 84 on May 24 while a group of rescuers was busy at the scene of a previous accident.
The driver of the 21-year-old car, originally from Florida, was hospitalized with serious injuries, but after a flight of more than 36 feet and a brutal collision with another car, it could have been much worse: no one else was – just luckily – injured. Here is the full video.
