One dead and six injured. This is the tragic outcome of the shooting that took place in Chicago, Illinois (United States) during a funeral held in memory of a man who died in an accident four years ago. According to the statement made by the police, it was caused by an argument between the attendees of the ceremony. A version confirmed to the US media by the Chicago police department deputy chief, Adnanardo Gutierrez: “They were all celebrating together, then something happened, a violent argument broke out and someone started shooting”.
The victim is a 25-year-old woman, and a 29-year-old man, who was wounded in the chest with a bullet, was hospitalized in serious condition. The other injured are a 17-year-old girl, a 28-year-old woman and three boys aged 27, 28 and 29. They were taken to the hospital, but their lives were reported not in danger. Local police have launched an investigation to clarify the dynamics of the conflict, while trying to determine who and how many opened fire.
