The nine critical points in Soledad due to fighting in the rain

Whenever it rains or when the rainy season arrives, youths associated with gangs turn the roads in different parts of Soledad municipality into “battlefields” to throw blunt objects at each other and attack each other with edged weapons. But in addition, the community is also a victim of theft and intimidation by the fighters themselves.

Days ago, in one of these battles, two young people – one of them a minor – were seriously injured and had to be transferred to nearby health centers.

Already then it turned out that the 17-year-old minor had three injuries to his body and the first phalanx of the ring finger of his right hand was amputated, apparently when a knife was thrown at his face and he tried to avoid it by interfering with his hand come.

In this sense, EL HERALDO learned that today nine critical points in the municipality of Soledeño are mentioned by the Barranquilla Metropolitan Police and what is proposed is to carry out some operational work to prevent the clashes of young people.

These are, according to the authority: race 2 with calle 56, sector of the field of Villa María; Diagonal 56 with Carrera 1C, sector Colegio Bicentenario; Transversal 1C with Calle 56, in front of Petromil gas station; Section 2D 10 with 54B, Padua School sector; calle 54B with carrera 2E, San Vicente sector; calle 54 with carrera 3C, sector of the Megacolegio de Villa Sol; Carrera 5 with Calle 47, sector Ciudadela Metropolitana (disputes between Ciudadela Metropolitana and Prado Soledad); Carrera 7C with Calle 40, Villa Adela sector 1 (disputes between Villa Adela and Manuela Beltrán) and Carrera 7 with Calle 37, Trocha del Diablo sector (disputes between the Renacer and Villa Adela district).

According to the report of the armed institution, three situations have been treated in the municipality today, but so far there is no balance of injured or detained.
