Severe hurricane devastates a city: dead and injured, images

A violent tornado struck a city in North Texas called the Texas Panhanfdle, causing widespread destruction: at least three people were killed and up to 100 injured. Similar events are expected in Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Florida, with severe thunderstorms, and a weather warning has been issued. The hurricane had a major impact on Perryton, a city of approximately 8,000 inhabitants.

As many as 200 homes may have been damaged by the hurricane. Perryton Fire Chief Paul Dutcher told ABC News that three people have been confirmed dead, with nearly 100 people being treated at local hospitals with minor to serious injuries. City firefighters were directly affected by the hurricane and fire trucks were severely damaged. Recovery is therefore even more complex.

Some patients were referred to trauma centers. According to Dutcher, a trailer park in the area was one of the places directly affected. The area at extreme risk of phenomena yesterday covered a large area running from Colorado to South Carolina, through Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas.
