The adoption of drones instead of Fireworks has numerous advantages. First, by eliminating the use of explosives and pyrotechnics, the risk of fire and accidents is significantly reduced.
Drone shows are also more versatile in terms of design and capabilities easy to adapt to different places and weather conditions.
This allows more people to enjoy the party as they are not restricted to wide open spaces or subject to favorable weather conditions.
Jeff Stein, who runs Drone Studios, a California-based drone company that will be in charge of the light show, said he has not set off any fireworks in the past five years due to noise and pollution.
“The drones are reusable, and with the fires artificially there is smoke, other waste, noise stress dogs and people with post-traumatic stress disorder. There are a lot of soldiers in San Diego,” he told CNN.
