Russia has broken the agreement. The White House revealed Moscow’s plans

Russia has access to Black Sea ports with mines, the White House reports. Russia pulled out of the “grain deal” on Monday

Russia has officially withdrawn from the “grain agreement”. The Kremlin has informed Turkey and Ukraine as well as the UN Secretariat of this decision. Russia has also announced that it is withdrawing guarantees for the safety of shipping in the Black Sea.

Dmitry Peskov assured that Russia would return to implementing the agreements once the Russian part of the grain deal was completed.

The grain agreement, which guarantees the safe export of grain and fertilizer from Ukraine through the Black Sea, was concluded in July 2022 by Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and the UN.

The White House unveils the Kremlin’s plan

The US reveals that Moscow will not hesitate to attack civilian ships. For this purpose, Russia had to mine the entrances to ports on the Black Sea.

“We believe this is a coordinated operation to justify attacks on civilian ships in the Black Sea and blame Ukraine,” the White House said.

Russia warns

Russia said on Thursday that ships sailing to Ukraine via the Black Sea are considered “potential military units”.

“Due to the termination of the activities of the Black Sea Initiative and the closure of the humanitarian maritime corridor from 00:00 Moscow time on July 20, 2023, all ships sailing to Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea region will be treated as potential military cargo,” the Defense Ministry wrote in a statement.

Moscow threatened that “the countries whose flag these ships fly will be considered involved in the conflict on the side of Ukraine.”

Croatia provides aid to Ukraine

Meanwhile, Croatian authorities said they could make their rail network and ports on the Adriatic Sea available as alternative routes for the transportation of Ukrainian grain after Russia pulled out of the “grain deal”.

A representative of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that Russia’s decision not to renew the agreement leads to the threat of famine in many parts of the planet.
