Bomb in the Eiffel Tower: alarm back, structure reopened

Alarm cleared. The alarm was cut off when the building was reopened to visitors at around 15.30, two hours after the bomb threat, which led to the evacuation of the Eiffel Tower, the symbol of Paris. After the news that explosives were found, the bomb disposal teams took action to investigate. Police forces also intervened and drove away tourists and visitors.

A similar incident alarmed Parisian authorities in September 2020, when the alarm that a bomb had been found in the Eiffel Tower led to the evacuation of tourists and workers at the structure for several hours. He then made an anonymous call to the police, allegedly of Islamist origin. In 2022, the Tower hosted over 5 million 800 thousand visitors.
