A person shot dead was the result of a criminal attack that took place on the morning of this Saturday, August 12, in a sector of the Por Fin neighborhood, in the southwestern city of Barranquilla.
Witnesses said that persons on a motorcycle arrived at an address at 23 Carrera 84B Street around 9:15 a.m. and that one of the persons fired at a person who was inside the building.
After the attack, the person shot was transferred to La Manga Hospital and his death was reported there. Police identified the fatal victim as Nicolás Javier Rodríguez Torres, aged 75.
Unofficially, a version is being considered that Rodríguez Torres was the target of a bullet attack on Friday night, but was unharmed.
This is the second criminal attack in Barranquilla and the metropolitan area in less than 12 hours. Let’s not forget that this Saturday, August 11, around 11:30 p.m., a double murder occurred at the entrance of a pool hall in the Villa Rosa district, in Soledad.
