The young woman was riding her mountain bike down a steep descent in a wooded area in Toscolano Maderno in the Brescia region. The accident occurred via Mezzane, the road connecting Navazzo, a hamlet of Gargnano, to Gaino, a hamlet of Toscolano. Susannah fell to the ground and hit her head hard. Despite wearing a protective helmet, the young woman died instantly in front of her boyfriend, who could do nothing to save her.
