The death of chef Riccardo Zebro, a native of Cassina de’ Pecchi, a town on the outskirts of Milan, is shrouded in mystery. Zebro, 34, died at his home in Queens, New York. According to the information obtained, the cause of death, which occurred between 15-16 August, needs to be clarified.
After graduating from the Carlo Porta hotel institute in 2008, Zebro flew abroad in 2012: to Bermuda. Moving to New York in 2016. He worked at the San Carlo Osteria Piemonte restaurant in the Soho area and then landed as executive chef at his last job, Sant Ambroeus West Village. He has also cooked for stars like Robert De Niro.
The young cook was expected by his family to Italy for the holiday planned for September. There are many messages of condolences on social networks for this young chef who died suddenly. His colleague Paolo Lovari remembers him as “an impressive humanity, a great chef, a joker”.
