An alarm clock that doesn’t go off, traffic, or checking the wrong time on your ticket. Arriving late at the airport and missing your flight is every traveler’s nightmare, and you can only solve this problem by leaving your home well in advance and checking your route. Or there are those who decide to avoid traffic and parking and take the helicopter to arrive at the airport on time. The unusual solution was demonstrated in a video by TikTok user @kevindroniak, who found himself too late after accidentally writing “10” instead of “18” on the ticket: He was still in his Manhattan apartment during the flight. We depart about an hour later from JFK airport in New York.
An impossible distance to travel by car prompted Kevin to consider an alternative solution: chartering a helicopter, which he says also saves you money on buying a new plane ticket. “This is what I will do and try to arrive on time – it costs less than buying a new ticket,” explains the young man in the video posted on social networks. A bizarre plan paid off: After the helicopter flight, as seen in the video, Kevin managed to arrive at the airport in time to catch his plane.
The video instantly went viral on TikTok, garnering over 10 million views, one million likes, and thousands of comments. While many users ironically commented on the idea of boarding the helicopter, others were surprised that he actually implemented this plan to avoid missing the plane. An unusual and effective solution, but certainly not accessible to everyone.
