A major breakthrough in expelling the enemy. Ukraine is expected to receive the first 10 of the 31 Abrams tanks promised by the United States in mid-September, Politico reported, citing a US Department of Defense official and another source familiar with the matter. The 70-tonne tanks are currently in Germany undergoing reconditioning and it has been specified that once operations are complete they will be shipped to Ukraine.
According to the website, the Abrams tanks, in the ideas of Kiev’s allies, should serve to give Ukrainian forces the necessary advantage to overcome Russia’s strong defenses in their counter-offensive. Meanwhile, about 200 Ukrainian troops completed the American tank training program at the training center in Hohenfels, Germany. The war continues and the western world is doing everything to improve the armaments in the hands of Volodymyr Zelensky’s men.
