Another kamikaze drone attack on Kiev. Most shot

On the night from Saturday to Sunday, the Russian army sent several dozen Shaded drones to Kiev. One person was injured and a fire broke out. The 564th day of the war in Ukraine continues.

More than a year and a half has passed since the beginning of the Russian invasion. The Russian war against Ukraine includes ongoing drone warfare, with the Russians attacking not only military targets and infrastructure, but also civilians.

War in Ukraine – Drone attack on Kiev

Sergii Popko, head of the Kiev military administration, quoted by the website “Ukrainska Pravda”, said that another shelling of Kiev took place during the night from Saturday to Sunday. – Cars, power lines of trolley buses and the road surface were damaged. So far there is one victim whose life is not in danger.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported on social media that drone fragments fell on several areas in the Kyiv region, including: Sviatoshiński, Shevchenko and Podolia. Emergency services are on site.

The American news agency Reuters reports that Russian troops have deployed 33 drones this time. Ukrainian air defenses managed to shoot down 26 unmanned aerial vehicles. This number was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its morning report.

There are reports of at least five explosions. Recordings in Ukrainian media showed that many cars parked on the street were damaged, but most of the rubble from the affected buildings fell on an open, undeveloped area. Shrapnel from the downed machines caused a fire in the Svyatoshyn district of Kyiv Oblast.

Robotyne no longer exists

On the Zaporizhia front, Ukrainian troops are slowly but surely advancing towards Tokmak.

On Wednesday, the head of the occupation authorities, Yevgeny Balitsky, officially confirmed that the Russian army had lost control of Robotyne and retreated to the hills. As he added, as a result of the war, Robotyne ceased to exist. According to him, it is “a settlement that only remained on the map”.

ISW analysts believe that after the capture of Robotyne, the Ukrainian armed forces are preparing to attack the second line of defense of the Russian army in Zaporozhye.

There are three lines of defense in total, and the Ukrainians’ goal is to reach as far south as the Sea of Azov to put the ‘land bridge’ between Russia and Crimea within firing range. This “bridge” plays an important role in supplying the Russian army in the areas of occupied Ukraine.

Kupiansk threatened

According to information from Kharkiv Oblast, the Russian side is in turn forming assault forces to attack the region’s hub city of Kupyansk.

The Russian army is still forming shock troops and wants to take over Kupyansk in the Kharkiv Oblast in northeastern Ukraine, Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Oblast government, said on Thursday, as quoted by Ukrainska Pravda.

A similar assessment of the situation as the mentioned soldiers and officials was expressed on Wednesday by General Oleksandr Sursky, commander of the Ukrainian Land Forces.
