Drone attack on Kryvyi Rih. “Don’t ignore the warning signs!”

Two groups of Russian military drones attacked from the south and east towards Kryvy Rih in central Ukraine.

The Russian military invasion of Ukraine has been going on for 565 days. “Two groups of enemy drones are approaching from the south and east towards Kryvyi Rih,” Ukrinform news agency reported on Monday morning, citing a message from the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram.

“Don’t ignore air warning signals!” – The Ukrainian armed forces have been warned. Residents of several regions in southern Ukraine have also been informed about the threat of the use of attack drones by the Russian military, as reported in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Kherson and Mykolaiv, among others.

Ukrainian counter-offensive

On the night of Sunday to Monday, September 10 to 11, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian troops conducting a military counteroffensive against Russian forces had advanced to the southern front last week. There were also advances in the east near Bakhmut.

A new phase of the war in Ukraine has been underway since February 24, 2022, when Russian troops invaded Ukrainian territory. The invasion was preceded by the Kremlin’s demand for NATO to rule out the possibility of further expansion of the North Atlantic Alliance and to return the Pact’s military potential in Central and Eastern Europe to pre-existing levels 1997.

Since the end of March 2022, when Russian troops withdrew from the northern front after the failure of the campaign in the Kiev region, the front line took shape with minor changes in the southern and eastern directions. Russian forces are trying to take full control of the Luhansk and Donetsk Oblasts, which together form a region called Donbas.

For now, there are no signals from the Kremlin or Kiev that the conflict will end soon. At the same time, there are increasing media reports about Western pressure behind the scenes on Ukraine to start negotiations with Moscow.
