Witnesses called the police after seeing a small plane spiraling towards the ground and crashing into the roof of a house: This is how 22-year-old Michele Cavallotti from Crema died in the United States. Firefighters responding to Newberg, Oregon, found two people inside the plane dead and one passenger seriously injured. Luckily, those in the house managed to get out safely. Luckily, there was no fire on the plane or in the house.
As we learned, Michele Cavallotti, a former student and pilot candidate at the Locatelli Aviation Technical Institute in Bergamo, was studying at the Hillsboro Flight Academy to perfect and patent his flying techniques.
The plane crashed shortly after takeoff at around 19:00 yesterday evening, October 3, 2023. Identification took several hours and family members living in Crema were only informed this morning.
