At least 40 people have died and 740 have been injured since the start of Hamas’ large-scale attack on Israel. And the Jewish State did not sit idly by after the rain of rockets fired from Gaza at dawn: the number of victims of the Israeli attacks carried out in the Gaza Strip in response to the massive attack is 198 dead and 1,610 injured, according to medical sources in the Enclave Palestinian quoted by Al Jazeera.
But Hamas doesn’t worry much about collateral damage and claims the results. “We have a large number of Israeli prisoners, including high-ranking officers,” said Saleh Al-Arouri, number two of the terrorist organization, which received support from Iran. The Tehran government congratulated, in fact, the Palestinian militias on the attack against Israel, an operation that he considers a “turning point” in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Naser Kanaani “congratulated the great Palestinian nation and all anti-Zionist groups on the Al Aqsa Storm operation. This operation demonstrates that the resistance movement in Palestine is very confident in launching a multifaceted attack against the occupiers, using the element of surprise.” Iran supports Palestinian militias in Gaza and leads the so-called Axis of Resistance against the Jewish State, which includes Hamas, the Lebanese group Hezbollah and Syria.
