Regarding the case, the aunt of one of these young people, in dialogue with Blu Radio, revealed details of the last conversation between the mother and her son and called on the authorities of Israel and Colombia.
“On Saturday morning at 6:30 am my sister contacted my nephew. He told us that they were looking for a safe place to hide. They went with a friend and he already showed up,” the family member explained.
He added: “They have been called to go to the hospitals and take a sample DNA to know whether they are alive or dead.”
“Some requests for assistance have been received to locate two compatriots who were at a festival near the Gaza-Israel border at the time of the events,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reported that they are “helping through assistance mechanisms” a Colombian family in Gaza and other Colombian citizens, and that the consulate in Tel Aviv has so far “received requests from 81 Colombian tourists mainly in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Belén, who have received security information and been supported in rescheduling their flights and leaving the country safely.”
