A judge with guarantee control functions ordered the transfer to prison of Luis Manuel López Morelo, 43 years old, for his participation in the murder of his father-in-law Víctor Manuel Orozco Aragón, 64 years old, which took place on October 4 in a house in the La neighborhood Paz, in the Suroccidente town of Barranquilla.
Through a statement, the Atlantic Division of the Public Prosecution Service indicated that López Morelo was charged with aggravated murder and that a judge sent him to a detention center after his arrest and at the end of the virtual hearings.
Regarding the case, authorities noted that it happened amid an act of intolerance by the aggressor towards the deceased, who had opposed the use of cooking oil for food preparation.
Apparently, López Morelo allegedly ingested the cooking oil without his father-in-law’s permission and after the complaint, he turned to physical aggression, after which the knife attack took place.
