Two alleged criminals were arrested nearby Villa Katanga of the municipality of Soledad in the context of the offensive against extortion.

The operation took place at 56th Street and 23rd Street in the Villa Katanga neighborhood, at which time the suspected criminals attempted to escape after shooting at the facade of an establishment.
The detainees, identified as Wilson Pomadera Aguas and Heiner Martínez Domínguez, were immediately transferred to the URI facilities to answer for the crimes of illegal possession of firearms and extortion.

Authorities found in their possession two extortion pamphlets in the name of ‘The Costenos’ and they seized a .38 caliber revolver, cartridges for it, a motorcycle and a mobile phone.
“The Barranquilla Metropolitan Police will continue to develop preventive and operational actions to guarantee the coexistence and security of citizens,” the statement said.
