Russia accuses Anglo-Saxon intelligence head on. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) could not have successfully carried out the attack on the Crimean bridge without the “involvement” of the CIA and British MI6, the chairman of Moscow’s Crimean State Council Vladimir Konstantinov told TASS. “The terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge was a well-planned operation, including with the help of Western military aviation and reconnaissance drones. For the first time, three countries participated: in addition to the SBU, without the CIA and MI6 this would not have been possible,” he said.
The SBU claimed responsibility for the attack, saying experimental “Sea Baby” marine drones were used to damage the bridge. Konstantinov cited as evidence the October 23 Wall Street Journal article, which claimed that the attack on the Crimean bridge used “naval drones developed as part of a top-secret operation involving the CIA and other Western intelligence services.”
Meanwhile, the Russian military fleet is apparently gradually abandoning Crimea. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this, according to Ukrainian media reports. “It is a historic result”, added Zelensky, according to which “for Russian terrorists there is no longer a secure base nor a completely reliable logistical route in Crimea and the occupied parts of the Black Sea and the Azov coast”.
