The reconstruction of the Washington Post that puts the Ukrainian secret services, but also the CIA, at stake
Killed by a bomb that arrived in Russia in a cat carrier. That’s how she died Daria Duginadaughter of the Russian ideologue and one of the strongest supporters of the war in Ukraine, Alexandre Dugin. The story of how the 29-year-old died in August 2022 has been told Washington Post who reconstructed the phases of the attack in detail.
An attack that was – at least originally – aimed at her father, but which later proved fatal for young Darya. It all started weeks before the explosion of the car in which Dugina was traveling: a woman and her 12-year-old daughter arrive in Russia via Estonia in a car loaded with everything they own. Between furniture and suitcases one cat carrier with a secret compartment in which parts of one were hidden pump rudimentary.
According to Ukrainian and Western sources, collected by the North American newspaper, the two women came to To fly they occupy a house in the same building as Dugina and begin monitoring it waiting for the right moment to attack Dugin. Things, however, do not go as expected: on August 23, 2022, the ultranationalist actually gets into another car, leaving his daughter alone in the car that explodes shortly after.
But who was behind the murder? O SBU Ukrainian intelligence services and its military arm, the Gur. And it wouldn’t be the first excellent kill for Kiev’s 007s. They were blamed for eliminating pro-war blogger Tartarus and former submarine commander Stanislav Rzhitsky – killed while running in a park -, as well as some Russian officials and collaborators in the occupied territories.
Kiev, reconstructs the WP, would also be behind the bombings that seriously damaged the bridge that connects Russia to the occupied Crimea and it would also be the Ukrainian intelligence services that launched the drones on the roof of the Kremlin and against Russian ships in the Black Sea. so much efficiency? This is explained, once again, by the Washington Post which speaks of a very close collaboration between the Ukrainian services and the CIA, which began immediately after the annexation of Crimea from Russia in 2014. A partnership that cost the United States – from 2015 to today – several million dollars.
But the pages of the Washington Post emphasize that the choice of targets by the Ukrainian 007s is always decided autonomously by Kiev and without American endorsement. This is a logical decision, given that the United States has always said it is very concerned about the actions of Ukrainian services on Russian soil.
