A pedophile police officer who sexually abused and blackmailed hundreds of girls online rejected questions put to him during a police interrogation. Footage has been released of a “disgusting” sex offender, showing him sitting calmly in a gray prison jumper.

At least 22 people died and dozens were injured in a mass shooting in the US state of Maine

At least 22 people were killed and dozens were injured in a shooting in the US city of Lewiston, Maine, authorities said.

Two employees told the AP that the shooting occurred Wednesday night at the bar and bowling alley. The officials were not authorized to publicly discuss details of the ongoing investigation and spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity.

Investigators continued to process the crime scene and collect evidence. Police are searching for a man who opened fire at two locations in Maine.

The man identified as the one involved in the mass shooting is a firearms instructor with military training who was recently committed to a mental institution, according to a state police bulletin.
