A message to NATO and the entire West. Russian President Vladimir Putin oversaw via videoconference an exercise by the Russian Strategic Deterrence Forces, training to launch a massive nuclear strike in response to a possible nuclear attack by the enemy. The training was carried out with the forces and assets of the land, sea and air components of the nuclear deterrence forces. These include the Strategic Missile Forces, a part of the Navy forces, as well as a part of the Air and Space Forces. It was specified that the Russian president first heard the reports of the head of the Ministry of Defense Sergei Shoigu and the chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov.
Putin spoke of a hypothetical response to America. According to the Kremlin, during the training there were launches of ballistic and cruise missiles: a Yars ICBM was launched from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in Kamchatka; the Sineva ballistic missile was launched from the Barents Sea from the nuclear-powered strategic submarine cruiser Tula; Tu-95MS aircraft fired missiles. Russia is thus preparing for a nuclear war.
