Day after day, pieces are added to the narrative of that Saturday, October 7, when Hamas militiamen took up arms and committed a massacre in Israel. The Wall Street Journal intervened in the reconstruction of the facts, revealing evidence of the “connection to Iran” and stating that the Islamists who attacked Tel Aviv were trained on Iranian soil and by the Ayatollah’s regime. Furthermore, according to the American newspaper, Iran would also be responsible for the spread of weapons in the West Bank.
“There will be a ground invasion – announced Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu: we don’t know when and how, but it will happen.” According to him, the only way to eliminate Hamas and free the hostages is to enter the Palestinian enclave. Since the start of the new war shaking the Middle East, US President Joe Biden has offered his support to Tel Aviv: “Israel has the right and duty to defend itself and we will ensure that it has the necessary tools”. In the meantime, however, we return to that fateful October 7th, when the Palestinian Islamic political and paramilitary organization attacked Israel.
According to the latest rumors, in September, five hundred fighters from Hamas and the allied Islamic Jihad group participated in exercises organized by officers belonging to the al-Quds forces, the Iranian special corps of the Guardians of the Revolution. The Wall Street Journal writes that Iran has consistently followed and supported the militiamen, although confirmation of true mass training is lacking. One detail, therefore, did not escape the American newspaper: the Hamas men used motorcycles that day, a vehicle frequently chosen by Iranian paramilitary forces.
