Robert Card, 40, the man accused of killing 18 people at a bowling alley and bar in the US state of Maine, remains on the run. Dozens of officers surrounded Card’s family home, but after more than three hours of “siege,” police left the property in Bowdoin, near Lewiston, to look for him elsewhere.
Police have, in fact, returned to the last known address of Robert Card, accused of killing 18 people and injuring 13 others in Lewiston, but authorities say they “don’t know if he is there.” CNN reports this, citing a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety, Shannon Moss. Investigators would have detected “something” in or near Card’s house: hence the new checks. At least five police vehicles are present at the scene, including an armored vehicle, the TV station says. Card, 40, is considered armed and dangerous.
