Another night of war in the Gaza Strip. Tel Aviv’s armed forces have carried out a new offensive to attack Hamas terrorists. These are still short incursions which, however, suggest that there could soon be a more structured invasion.
Israel sent tanks and troops into the Gaza Strip overnight for a new incursion, the Israel Defense Forces said, hitting Hamas men and locations. The Times of Israel reports this, explaining that the attack near the Shujàiyya neighborhood in the eastern part of Gaza City was carried out by infantry, engineers and armored forces, with Israeli air force drones and combat helicopters providing aerial cover. The army says artillery and air strikes were carried out against sites belonging to the Hamas terrorist group, including anti-tank guided missile launch sites and command centers. Several Hamas members were also reportedly hit. All Israeli forces left the area and there were no reports of injuries. The operation marks the second night in a row that IDF forces briefly entered the Gaza Strip.
