The family of alleged double shooter Roberto Cardosoo celebrated Wednesday in Lewiston, Maine. 18 people died, asking him to surrender and turn himself in to federal, state and local authorities, who activated an extensive search apparatus.
Ryan Card, the alleged attacker’s brother, sent a statement to CNN assuring that his family has “cooperated with authorities in every way possible” and reports that they are trying to convince Robert to surrender.
Ryan Card’s document states that it does not specify whether Robert complied with his requests.
The police have received everything they can offer to facilitate their efforts (…) There are many people who are suffering, please focus on them, this is many people’s worst nightmare.
Federal, state and local authorities across the United States launched an extensive search Thursday to locate Card, a 40-year-old man believed to be the perpetrator of the double shooting in Lewiston that left 18 dead and 13 injured.
Authorities released images of the alleged attacker, who was described by Lewiston police as “armed and dangerous.”
Col. William Ross of the Maine State Police announced during a news conference Thursday that Robert Card faces a warrant for his arrest on eight counts of murder.
