Gaza, the Israeli mouthpiece: where Hamas headquarters are hidden

The Al-Shifa hospital, the largest and most important in the entire Gaza Strip, would house under its foundations an equally important Hamas headquarters. This is what Lieutenant Colonel Avichay Adraee, Israeli army spokesman for the Arab media, says in a long post on X, also accompanied by a video that explains the location of the headquarters. The IDF, explains Adraee, had obtained information according to which Hamas uses, “both in routine and emergency times, the humanitarian infrastructure in the Gaza Strip to carry out its terrorist activities, exploiting the humanitarian quota for the purpose to protect their terrorists and the leaders of the terrorist organization.”

In particular, the focus of the organization’s activities in the Gaza Strip would be the Al-Shifa hospital, considered the largest and most important hospital in the Gaza Strip and located in the heart of Gaza city. The IDF spokesperson explains that “there are several underground complexes in Al-Shifa hospital that Hamas leaders use to direct their activities. There is also a tunnel that connects to the hospital and allows entry to the headquarters of the Hamas leadership, without entering the hospital.” Furthermore, “inside the hospital there is a control center affiliated with the Hamas internal security service, where the militants are present during normal and emergency periods. The hospital also contains a terrorist command headquarters from which rocket launch operations are directed, forces are directed and combat equipment, weapons and ammunition are stored.”

These allegations were immediately denied by the Islamic political and paramilitary organization. “The enemy army spokesman’s accusations are completely unfounded.” Thus, a Hamas leader, Ezzat al-Risheq, denies that “Hamas leaders are in a headquarters under al-Shifa hospital.”
