Two sections of the A470 in north and mid Wales were closed due to accidents on Sunday 29 October. The approximately 7-mile stretch of road was closed shortly before 7pm in both directions between Tal and Cafn and Llanrwst.

North Wales Police confirmed on Sunday evening: “The A470 between Tal and Cafn and Llanrwst is closed in both directions due to a collision. Please use other routes.”

Dyfed-Powys Police later confirmed that a second section, between Felinfach and Llyswen (north of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park), had been closed due to another unrelated accident.
