Israel destroys the home of a Palestinian boy accused of killing a police officer in February | Video

The Israeli army and police on Wednesday destroyed the home of a 13-year-old Palestinian boy accused of killing an Israeli officer in a knife attack on a bus in Jerusalem last February.

The officer, Asil Suaad, was stabbed by a thirteen-year-old Palestinian accompanied by a security guard who opened fire after the incident, hitting Suaad and the attacker. The officer later died from his injuries.

According to Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the home of child Muhammad Basel Fazi Zalban in the Shuafat refugee camp in East Jerusalem was demolished after a judge refused to lift the order.

This is how Israeli troops reached Shuafat.

Israeli prosecutors charged the boy with aggravated murder in February, just days after the incident. He claimed Zalbani grabbed the knife as he left the house and stabbed the officer during a search of the bus he was driving.

He stated that when Suaad arrived at the location where he was, the boy sitting in the back of the vehicle grabbed his gun and stabbed him in the neck several times. A Civil Defense police officer shot him and also hit the officer in the thigh, who died shortly afterwards.
