“My sport has become a horror movie.” The athlete risks suspension for criticizing a transgender player

The Canadian Powerlifting Association wants to ban one of its competitors for two years. The woman criticized the association’s decision to allow men to compete with women in the sport.

April Hutchinson wrote on her ‘taking away their profits. ”

“I am now facing a two-year ban from CPU for publicly speaking out about the injustice of allowing biological males to mock competitors and plunder their profits,” Hutchinson wrote.

“Clearly I have not fulfilled my gender obligations as a ‘supporting actress’ in the horror film that is now my #sport. Of course, the CPU upheld MY written complaint of male abuse [nad kobietami zawodniczkami – przyp. red.] considered “disrespectful and annoying” – the player added.

Hutchinson said at the time that her fight “doesn’t end here” and strongly opposed the idea that female athletes should “shut their mouths and put up with gender discrimination.”

Discrimination against women

The suspension comes following Hutchinson’s comments about the man, now called Anne Andres, who set the national record in the women’s powerlifting category at the championships in August.

“It’s very depressing because the national record he broke has been a dream of many female athletes for years,” Hutchinson said on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” adding that “it just shows the physical advantage men have over women.”

In August, Andres, 40, competed in the Canadian Powerlifting Union Western Championships at Brandon University’s Healthy Living Center. The man competed in the Female Masters category, eventually taking first place and achieving a result that was 180 kilograms better than the best performing powerlifter.
