Gaza, Israel announces: a Hamas stronghold destroyed

The Israeli army announced this evening that the 401st brigade destroyed the Badr stronghold of Hamas’ Shati battalion in the north of the Gaza Strip, killing 150 terrorists in recent days. The Badr outpost is located near a refugee camp and civilian buildings. As part of the attack on the outpost, soldiers destroyed the military headquarters and rocket launch sites. The Israeli brigade also attacked a hotel in the northern coastal strip of the Strip, where 30 terrorists were hiding who used the hotel as a base to plan attacks, the IDF said.

Benjamin Netanyahu today reiterated his promise to neutralize Hamas after the military operation. Israel’s priority, he explained, “is to restore security and ensure that Hamas is no longer there and will not return. But also ensure that life can later return.” The Prime Minister of Israel then praised the resilience of communities in southern Israel, those most targeted in Hamas attacks over the last month.

Meanwhile, Lebanese Hezbollah militiamen claimed to have launched three drones into Israeli airspace, claiming to have hit two military sites of Tel Aviv troops. Israeli forces had previously claimed to have intercepted one of the drones, while the others had crashed in the north of the Jewish state. It was not, however, specified whether the aircraft was targeting military sites.
