London Mayor joins calls for Rishi Sunak to sack Home Secretary for stoking tensions ahead of Armistice Day
London Mayor Sadiq Khan has followed Labor leader Sir Keir Starmer in calling on Rishi Sunak to sack Home Secretary Suella Braverman for stoking tensions ahead of Armistice Day, AP reports.
Pressure mounted on Braverman following scenes of far-right violence against police officers on Saturday, after she called pro-Palestinian protesters “hate protesters” and accused police of bias for allowing the demonstration to go ahead.
Dozens of counter-protesters were arrested, including many who tried to confront participants in the march, which Sunak and Braverman called on police to ban.
Khan said it was “disturbing” to see violence against police and that if the prime minister did not fire Braverman, “he would either be very weak or agree with it”.

“My farewell letter to the people I love as brain cancer slowly shuts down my body.”
“Today I received the news I was told I was waiting for: stage four terminal brain cancer (glioblastoma). I removed the tumor and with radiation and treatment the average life expectancy is approximately 12 to 18 months.
“There are anomalies, but I have been pretty normal in every way my entire life. I think now is as good a time as any to do better.
“It turns out that the old tumor has probably been dormant for years, pressing on the part of my brain that stores all my personality, emotions and memory.
“It silently controlled me and consumed me deeply, distorting and changing my perspective on life, making me question all the good things I had.
“I’m not going to sit here and try to take the blame for every bad decision I’ve made in my life, but if I’m going to try to take the blame and be angry about something, I better do that. do it. be cancer, right? Exactly. So here goes.
