The children’s police are investigating the death of a 6-year-old boy in Soledad

Investigators from the Child and Adolescence Unit of the Barranquilla Metropolitan Police are investigating the death of a minor identified as Samuel Eduardo Cárcamo Suorio, only six years old, confirmed in the early hours of this Sunday on Camino Ciudadela 20 de Julio, in the metropolis .

What is known is that the minor was taken to the medical center by his mother around half past twelve in the morning, but upon admission to the emergency room, doctors indicated that the child had been admitted ‘without vital functions’.

EL HERALDO discovered that the child had an injury on his nose, an apparent bite on his tongue and bruises on various parts of the body, so the medical staff of the health center did not confirm his death and, on the contrary, alerted the authorities on the specific.

“While carrying out the assessment they found injuries, apparently bruises caused by third parties,” a police source explained.

With the intervention of the officers, experts from the Sijín carried out the removal procedure and transferred the child’s body to the Institute of Legal Medicine so that a medical examiner could verify the true cause of death.

It turned out that the boy lived with his family in the El Manantial neighborhood of Soledad and was apparently left in the care of his father on Saturday evening. That was the version the mother gave to the authorities and doctors on duty at the center of the district’s hospital network.
