At least three people were killed in Israeli bombings in southern Lebanon. This is according to the Lebanese agency Nna, which reports that “the incessant Israeli bombings against the Tayr Harfa area (near Tire) led to the murder of the Al-Mayadeen channel correspondent, Farah Omar, the cameraman, Rabie Al-Maamari, and a civilian, Hussein Aqeel, the journalists’ driver.”
Al-Mayadeen, who is believed to be close to Lebanese Hezbollah, blamed Israel for the death of his correspondent and cameraman in an “Israeli airstrike” in the Tayr Harfa area. According to the TV, the two “just finished a live broadcast at 10am local time to give updates on Israeli bombings in southern Lebanon.” Previously, the same NNA had accused Israel of the murder of an 80-year-old woman in attacks against “inhabited houses in Kfar Kila”. The risk of an expansion of war in the Middle East is always alive.
