Four British teenagers’ camping holiday in Wales ended in tragedy. After a search that lasted 48 hours, all hope was lost and their lifeless bodies were found. “At the moment it looks like a tragic accident,” Inspector Owain Llewelyn said at a news conference. The case of the four missing teenagers was covered all over the media in the UK.
Jevon Hirst, Harvey Owen, Wilf Henderson and Hugo Morris were aged between 16 and 18 and all attended the same school in Shrewsbury (in England, not far from the administrative border with their native Wales). On Sunday morning, 19 November 2023, they set out for Snowdonia nature park, but they never got there.
The bodies of the missing teenagers were found 48 hours later near the village of Tremadog, in the car in which the children were traveling. The fact that the car left the road and was partially submerged in water was suggestive of an accident, partly due to bad weather conditions. Families and local communities are in shock.
