At least 12 dead and 58 injured. This is the result of a tragic accident that occurred on Tuesday in Mexico, when a bus traveling on a highway in the state of Veracruz fell off a bridge. The accident occurred in the area connecting the cities of La Tinaja and Acayucan in southern Mexico. The scene before the eyes of the rescue teams was horrific: Bodies were thrown from the vehicle and scattered on the asphalt, while others were trapped between metal sheets.
According to the National Guard’s initial reconstruction, the cause of the accident was the fault of the driver, who fell asleep and climbed onto the traffic island, and then fell off the bridge.
Dozens of injured people were transported to hospitals in Veracruz, with at least seven of them in serious condition, according to security sources.
It was recorded that 5 people were injured and 40 people died in the accident that occurred on the La Tinaja-Acayucan highway.
