A former model accused Axl Rose of raping her in New York more than 30 years ago, in 1989. Sheila Kennedy, named “Pet of the Year” in 1983 by Penthouse magazine, filed a lawsuit in the New York Supreme Court. York in which he claims to have met the lead singer of Guns N’ Roses in a nightclub in 1989 and to have been sexually assaulted on the same night that the two met during a party that took place in the singer’s hotel room.
According to the woman, Rose would have given cocaine, champagne and other alcoholic drinks to the guests and would have had “aggressive behavior” to the point of “encouraging group sex”. At that point, Kennedy, intending to leave the party, was allegedly “pushed to the floor” by Rose, who “dragged her to her room.” The singer then “threw her on the bed and tied her hands behind her back, with blood on her knees,” the lawsuit states. The model “felt that she had no way out and decided to lie down on the bed and wait for Rose, who treated her as an object of her sexual pleasure, to finish raping her.”
