The heartbroken mother of one of four teenagers who tragically died following a tragic accident in North Wales has paid tribute to her “perfect son”. Seventeen-year-old Harvey Owen was among those who came to the area from Shrewsbury to do the walk.

He died along with Jevon Hurst, 16, Wilf Fitchett, 17, and Hugo Morris, 18, when the car they were traveling in crashed in Gwynedd. The collision occurred on the A4085 near Garreg Llanfrothen. It was a silver Ford Fiesta, discovered on Tuesday, November 21st. All the boys died instantly.

In the village of Llanforten, not far from the scene of the accident, a vigil was held in memory of the friends. Residents laid flowers, people hugged each other and wiped away tears while sending messages of support to the families. It was previously reported that relatives visited the site of the tragedy. Paying a heartfelt tribute to her son, Harvey’s mother said: “There are no words to describe the pain we feel at the loss of our dearest soul, no words to explain how special Harvey was, but I will do my best. From the moment Harvey was born, he was a special and truly welcomed baby who made me feel so complete and welcome as Yasmin’s brother. The connection between them was what every parent dreamed of. He idolized and admired his older sister his entire life and copied everything she did, even her quirky and sometimes questionable fashion sense and even her feminist views.

“Harvey grew up family-oriented, he had two younger sisters, Sophia and Olivia, who he adored immensely and who adored him, his older brother. He was never too old for a hug. I know it sounds cliché, but Harvey was a unique and special person who touched many people along the way. Casual, charismatic, cheeky, a guy out of his time, he always thought outside the box, he was creative and fun. A boy who preferred to be outdoors and active. He was the kindest soul, always sympathizing with people and seeing the good in everyone. Quirky, innovative, loving, clean and funny, he was sometimes so stupid it was annoying, but he was so sweet it was hard to stay mad at him for long!

“He has always been passionate about his ultimate passion, whether it be his pets, BMX, skateboarding or, more recently, his passion for guitar, jazz, poetry and art. He liked to play with his little sisters, play the guitar and they would dance to his music. Lately he has become interested in working with bread and dreams of one day having his own bakery and café.

“Everyone has a funny story to tell about Harvey and those stories keep us going, they make us laugh through the tears and they will live on. There is never time to lose a child, but you feel so much stronger because you literally thrived in life and had everything to live for.

“Harvey was perfect when he came into the world and that’s how he will be. He never offended, he never caused harm, he never offended anyone, he was and always will be a son we can be proud of. The fact that Harvey will always be 17 is unbearable to think about and even harder to accept. Please hold on to your loved ones, all the little things that worry us don’t matter, life is too short and it can be very cruel. “I lost my son, the boy I adored so much, and I can’t accept the fact that I can’t hug him again or tell him I love him.” Join our WhatsApp news community here for the latest news.
