The past four days have been violent in Barranquilla and the metropolitan area. A total of fourteen murders were recorded during this period, making it one of the most complicated in terms of security on the eve of the last month of the year.
It all started on the night of the previous Thursday when Luis Alberto Morales Lidueña, alias Gato Negro, was killed during an assassin attack in the San Francisco neighborhood, in the city of Norte-Centro Historico in the capital. Morales was leaving a chain store when he was surprised by the criminals.
According to judicial sources, Morales Lidueña was related to Digno Palomino Rodríguez and was carrying a fake ID in the name of a third party. He was placed under house arrest as a measure in legal proceedings for murder.
On Friday, November 24, Robert Cure García was shot in Puerto Colombia. He was driving a motorcycle when subjects surprised him in a similar vehicle.
The same day, Luis Alfredo García Lascano, Giver Luis Barroso and Jorge Luis Andrade Tapia were killed, but in gunfire in Barranquilla and Soledad.
The latter was attacked with gunfire in the popular Barrio Abajo, in the city of Norte-Centro Historico, in an attack that injured two other people. They associated the crime with drug trafficking.
Already on Saturday, November 25, bullets took the life of Luis Carlos Álvarez Rivera, known as the Liar Pastorcito and with a judicial history. This man was murdered in the Villa Flor neighborhood, in the Suroccidente city of Barranquilla.
Elkin Manuel Viaña was murdered in San Roque. This person was engaged in shooting with another person, who was also killed.
In the town of Suroriente, more specifically in La Chinita, Skewin Tomás Palmera Luna was shot at.
On the night of the same Saturday, a gunshot attack was registered in the Barlovento neighborhood, an event that would have resulted from the assassin attack that took place on Thursday and left Luis Alberto Morales Lidueña dead. In that act, which took place in a house, Adolfo Arturo Fonseca Colón and Yirion León Indabur Vanegas died.
On Sunday, Yuleisi Briyith Jiménez Vásquez was murdered in the La Floresta neighborhood of Soledad. According to information from the Barranquilla Metropolitan Police, this woman was the partner of Johnny Manjarrez Polo, alias El Guasón, a hitman employed by Los Pepes de Digno Palomino.
And in an unfortunate event, which took place in the Santo Domingo neighborhood, Luis Carlos Feifo Garzón and his little five-year-old son, identified as Keiler Luis Feifo Núñez, were killed. An assassin arrived at their house and shot them both indiscriminately.
On the other hand, on the same day, Sunday, an act of intolerance left Edver Jesús Arias Bravo, 41, a fatal victim. This individual got into an argument with another individual in the Cevillar neighborhood and was killed with a bottle spout.
