Middle East, Netanyahu launches challenge to Hamas: “What happens after the truce”

To those asking whether Israel will return to fighting when the current truce ends, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded with “an unequivocal yes”. The leader stressed that «there is no possibility of us not fighting to the end again. This is my policy, the entire government supports it, the soldiers support it, the people support it. That’s exactly what we’re going to do.”

“From the beginning of the war I set three objectives: the elimination of Hamas, the return of all our abductees and the guarantee that Gaza will never again pose a threat to Israel. These three objectives remain in place. Last week we achieved a very big achievement: the return of many dozens of our kidnapped people. A week ago it would have seemed imaginary, but we did it. But in recent days I have heard a question repeated: after this phase of freeing our captives is over, will Israel fight again? My answer is an unequivocal yes. There is no possibility of us not fighting until the end. This is my policy, the entire government agrees with it and the soldiers support it, the citizens support it and that is exactly what we will do.” This was the case with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
